CURRENT PARTNERS

Tennis Canada

JFCTA was started as a community initiative by Tennis Canada in 2006. Since then, Tennis Canada continues to support our program by providing facilities, their coaching expertise, and funding for our programs. Tennis Canada currently aims to create sustainable changes for women and girls in all areas of tennis. Learn more about Tennis Canada and its current initiatives here.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

The Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities have been long-time partners of JFCTA’s Summer and Winter Tennis Leagues – over a decade! Jumpstart continues to support local communities to overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in an effort to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities. Learn more about Jumpstart and its mission here.

Canadian Heritage/Patrimoine Canadien

The Canadian Heritage supports JFCTA with funding for capacity building. The capacity building projects are grounded on anti-oppression, anti-racism, and trauma-informed frameworks. The implementation of new policies and governing processes has enabled JFCTA to address barriers to access, and increase organizational capacities while increasing civic participation for local community members. Learn more about Canadian Heritage and its initiatives here.

Doncaster Foundation

The Doncaster Foundation supports JFCTA’s After School Program. The aim of the collaboration is to increase educational and professional development opportunities for the participants through workshops and experiential learning.

MLSE Foundation

The MLSE Foundation provided JFCTA with seed funding to pilot its Youth-led Project Management Initiative. The youth-led projects empower our youth to gain valuable professional experience in designing and deploying community projects for our community. In 2011, JFCTA launched our first After School Program to provide youth in the Jane/Finch community with free tennis lessons and academic support.
