HOW TO DONATE
The Jane/Finch Community Tennis Association is a federally registered not-for-profit organization In Canada. At this time we are unable to provide tax receipts for donations made directly to our organization. We have submitted all our required documents to the Canada Revenue Agency as we look to become a registered charity in Canada. If you require a tax-receipt for your donation we have a dedicated fund through a trustee organization that would be able to facilitate this donation.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Our organization is always looking for volunteers to help support all facets of our work. If you are looking to volunteer on the tennis court, on a committee or even as a Board Member we welcome all individuals. We also provide students with volunteer opportunities to complete their high school community service requirements. All volunteers are required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening or Enhanced Police Background check as well as sign off on our Code of Conduct. Volunteers who want to be directly involved with activities will be responsible for completing an online Respect in Sport module for Activity Leaders before being able to support on court activities. We will provide the appropriate documentation to facilitate the checks and accessing online resources.
HOST A FUNDRAISER
Over the past few years, tennis clubs across the GTA have hosted fundraisers to support our activities. Since 2015, the Lambton Golf and Country Club has hosted an annual Tennis Inspires Gala to support our organization. In 2023, they re-launched their in-person gala and raised over $19,000!
Other events include tennis tournaments, tennis-thens and other social gatherings at your local club. Not all events need to raise a large amount of money, we are grateful for any amount that you and your community are able to raise.
