2022-2024 Game Changer & Serving Up projects
To build on top of the previous capacity building successes, we developed a collective impact strategy to confront racism and discrimination, and promote diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion in order to increase participation in economic opportunities for racialized youth from neighborhood improvement areas across Toronto. 2019-2020 CAPACITY BUILDING PROJECT
To strengthen our foundations and meet the changing needs of our community, JFCTA launched the Capacity Building Project in 2019. With this project, we identified areas for improvement, acquired new tools, increased our knowledge and developed new skills in order to update our governing structures and enhance our e-capacity. Although this project has been completed, the work will never stop. We are committed to fostering and creating an inclusive and diverse association as reflective of our vibrant Jane/Finch neighborhood.

ENHANCED GOVERNANCE MODEL
Attained a community-centered methodology for grounding our work

Acquired new knowledge and tools in Inclusive Governance, Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression and Trauma-informed perspectives for board of directors, committee members and staff
E-CAPACITY
Identified gaps and areas for improvement through e-tool evaluation and full business review
Revamped our website to optimize information flow and reflect new practices
