INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION

The Applicant supports youth in their community who want to complete their tennis instructors certification from the Tennis Professionals Association. Youth and young adults who have volunteered for our programming are eligible to apply for funding to pay for all the fees associated with completing their instructors certification.

The certification process consists of the following components: tennis training, leadership development, teaching competency, technical knowledge, Making Ethical Decisions evaluations and an online kids tennis modules.

This program is vital to our organization’s capacity as this pathway ensures that we can provide youth within our community employment opportunities as tennis instructors within our programs and to the greater tennis community in Toronto.

For the 2024-2025 season, we welcome the Nike Community Impact Fund and the Jamaal Magloire Foundation in partnering with us to make the Instructor Certification stream possible!
